Computer and Home Audio Speakers

Audio speakers have become very popular since its first arrival. As more and more device in our lives are becoming very audio speaker oriented. If we look around all of our entertainment items will play sound, which means they need speakers. We now have speakers designed specifically for particular applications. To name a few there is car speakers, computer speakers, home theater speakers and stereo speakers just to name a few popular ones. With the technological advancements made in the audio speakers’ field it has allowed everyone now to own a good set of speakers without having to spend a fortune.

Computer speakers are beginning to become a very popular amongst audio speakers purchased by the people. Computers have become powerful enough for users to do practically anything with them. And most household in North America owns at least one computer system. It is not surprising that majority of them uses their computer as their home entertainment as well. Why not since all you need is a good sound card to go with your computer speakers. Most people also have their music converted to mp3s so they can listen to their music as they work, one of the biggest reasons why computer speakers have become very popular as of late. Also with DVD-roms out in the market right now for computers it allows the users to watch their movies on their computer. In general computer speakers are cheaper than having a surround system for your home entertainment center.

Cars speakers are now one of the most popular audio speakers’ out in the market right now. Especially with auto imports shows directing cars’ sound systems as one of their features. And we all know the boy that drives around with their music blasting out loud for everyone to hear. Car speakers are different compared to other audio speakers in the sense that it does now need a box holding it. The car interior is taken into serious consideration since the characteristics of a car’s interior is different from a room. For drivers who are looking for the extra bass that is hard to get with the car speakers, then a subwoofer will be the only way to hit all those bass notes.

Home audio speakers should be able to play both your music and you movies flawlessly. To be able to attain the best sound for both entertainments use your home audio speakers must be able to play the full range of frequencies. And home audio speakers systems’ prices have dropped greatly compared to earlier years, not a decent set of home audio speakers system can start at only $200. A good set of home audio speakers is a must for any home entertainment system as it would be a waste if your nice big TV that produces nice images is not matched with good sound quality. Especially with DVD movies, there are fine details in the sound and can only be reproduced through good home audio speaker system.

A recent trend is having your whole house hooked up with speakers to allow music to play through your house. These speakers are usually hooked up to one central system that has all the entertainment systems together. Most people find ceiling speakers being the best type of audio speakers to use as a whole house speakers system. The quality will not be as great as say a home audio speaker system in a room, but if you shop around you will find a good quality ceiling speakers. One of the pros of ceiling speakers is their convenience in saving space in the house and is also very easy to install. But most people may be taunted but the task of wiring the speakers around the house but that is soon becoming part of the past. Wireless speakers are becoming very popular and quite affordable as of late, which is also very ideal for a whole house speakers system. Since now you won’t have to worry about all those wires running up and around on the walls.

It doesn’t matter what kind of speakers you are planning to get, but you must know how speakers work. All speakers are made up of speaker drivers and a box holding them often called an enclosure. Some speakers may only come with one speaker driver which is most of the time a tweeter. A tweeter is the speaker driver that reproduces the higher frequencies. But normally all speakers would come with two speaker drivers, tweeter and woofer. Woofer is the speaker driver that reproduces the lower frequencies. Also size of the enclosure also affects the sound that will be produced by the speakers. Most of the time when you see a subwoofer the enclosure is bigger than let’s say normal computer speakers. The larger enclosure will help produce a nicer bass note, while a small enclosure like the computer speakers will produce a louder volume but not as much bass. So there are special sounds to each system, while some may not be as noticeable but if you were to listen carefully you will hear the subtle difference and will ultimately appreciate them.
