Andy Gaus has produced an excellent new translation of the New Testament, based upon a simple idea. He asked himself, "Why not present the New Testament simply as it appears in the original Greek?" This splendid premise has only one major drawback: In some cases, that of John's Gospel for instance, we do not have the original Greek or anything like it! By "original Greek", Gaus actually means third and fourth century Greek. Gaus has made no attempt whatever to correct even obvious errors.
