Understanding Bullying and Its Effects

One may often look back through the mists of the years to one's childhood and remember it with warm, fuzzy fond memories of sticky ice cream cones and mud pies. The mind is like that - it likes to focus on the good things in our past, the experiences that are nicer to remember. However, for some of our children, there lurks a big, hairy monster at pre-school - someone who makes their time spent there frightening and unbearable, bullying them mercilessly as an outlet for the bully's own internal power struggle and misdirected frustrations.
